Research Brief

At this stage students need to utilise secondary data to support their study. Secondary data can be obtained by using relevant literature and reviewing them critically, contextual and in relation the research problem.

Requirements

Students are to:

1. Select relevant secondary sources such as publications and online journal articles

2. Write a summary and critical review about each source

During weekly tutorials, students must present their progress through 

PowerPoint. An individual tutorial feedback form will be filled by the lecturer and students to record the students’ learning progress. 

Duration

Briefing: Week 4, Deadline: Week 7

Submission Format

Digital submission in e-portfolio blog, CONVERTED TO PDF. 

Assignment Goals:

1.Students to identify relevant sources of secondary research.

2.Students to examine the relation of the research materials to the research problem.

REFLECTION

Experience
Finding the journal was a bit hard when I haven't tried Taylor's library website but now I finally get to know about it and find some of the journals that I want. It was hard to create a critical review especially since english is not my first language so I had some struggle in creating the review and reading through the articles. I had to read over and over again to understand and to think on what to write the review about is also frustrating

Observation
Writing critical review helps you especially when you want to know more about what journal that you took as a reference. It's crucial to read carefully as there might be some important points that you missed

Findings
I learned that critical review is important although it's quite difficult to do. It will helps you to choose which journal to read first and to find whether it related to your problem statement or not
