Description
Ideation is the mode of the design process in which you concentrate on idea generation. Mentally it represents a process of ‘going wide’ in terms of concepts and outcomes.

Ideation will help you:
  • Ask the right questions.
  • Get obvious solutions out of your head.
  • Uncover unexpected areas of innovation.
  • Create volume and variety in your innovation options.

You are required to collect 100 iconic symbols/visuals. It can be made up of places, people, objects and scenes that represent the cause/campaign/event. It has to be unique and portrays the subject in every context.

Think more, Google less.

Requirements / Submission
100 iconic symbols/visuals of places, people, objects and scenes accompanied by a short description for each of the selected symbols/visuals.
Visual collage in A4 (the more the merrier).

Objective
To generate well-founded opportunities that have a good prospect of creating value in the end-market, and which matches a brand’s strength and strategy

Week 2
Put analysis on every photos, not just a simple caption. Develop more on objects, however it's a good progress at the start

Week 3
Looking at components that build up an art and music festival. Continuing the same train off thoughts from last week (some of previous first group of icons still has no description). Looking at this will help you understand the tangible aspects (emotions, affection,etc.) You could explore other intangible ideas like excitement and stamina while continuing to exhaust the obvious tangible aspects of arts and music festivals. Once you have that out of the way, you'll still have room to allow icons built by deeper analysis and critical thought and eventually of relevance to your own angle on festival branding 

Week 4
Find more objects around and don't just look at the previous festivals so that it can help you to create a new unique event that differs from other music festivals

Week 5
For the next visuals, try to find those that are related to your event


REFLECTIONS


Experience
The project is similar with the previous semester where we have to find 20 logos every week. It's more easier since we can find it on internet but it's not easy to think about 100 icons and visuals that related your desired branding. It was quite difficult for me to do since I'm not sure what kind of things that would relate to music festival.At the end when everything is compiled, I can vision what I wanted to do for my branding and what kind of positioning that I want to choose. This is why I'm glad that I managed to finish collecting the icons and visuals

Observation
We have to be analytical at every visuals and icons that we have. This is to broaden our mind and practice to think.This would also let you explore more things

Findings
The process of ideation let you be more creative and explore more thing before creating you brand. It would help you to gain ideas and new things.
